Tropical Renewable Energy Center (TREC)

The Tropical Renewable Energy Center (TREC) is a center organization at Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia, thats supports the education activity at higher level in their transition to a sustainable energy future, through energy transition process and serves as the principal platform for national and international co-operation, a center of excellence, and a repository of policy, technology, resource and financial knowledge on renewable energy. TREC promotes the widespread adoption and sustainable use of all forms of renewable energy, including bioenergy, geothermal, hydropower, ocean, solar and wind energy, in the pursuit of sustainable development, energy access, energy security and low-carbon economic growth and prosperity.

Vision:

TREC’s role is to seek out, establish and develops new synergies, facilitate dialogue, share best practices, promote enabling policies, build capacity and foster cooperation at the global, regional and national levels.
